Honestly, what makes me happy is writing and music. We all know you cant go to college or a trade school and make a living off of that.

With tanker/hazmat endorsements, TWIC, passport, he should make $55K - $65K after orientation and training is complete. Some companies he might make between $50K - $55K ; but that's really low for tanker/hazmat drivers.

Trains have been trying to replace us for 30 years now...guess what, we are still here. They take money from us and give it to the railroads to help them to compete with us but they can't get freight delivered fast enough to satisfy the demand. Robots...probably in about 20 years or so they will start becoming a competitor for drivers. They will have to get the smart cars working first and then trucks are sure to follow along after they get the technology working reliably.
