Pay attention while in class. Dont be late, take your bathroom breaks before class starts. Be optimistic. Dont expect too much. Bring money for food. Free lunch consists of 1 hot dog or hamburger a $.50 cent bag of chips and 1 small cup of beans or potato salad. No drink. Vending machines are $1.35 and $1.50 depending on what drink you get. If you get along with trailer trash and inner ghetto degenerates you will feel at home. That was 90% of the population when I was there. Only 5 - 10% seemed level headed enough to hold an educated conversation.

Just make sure all your ducks are in a row before you go. Being in Alabama I assume you are training in OKC. Steve is a good guy but he's all business. Make sure all your work history can be validated, so make sure you have good phone numbers and bring your tax returns with you. If you have any medical issues, have a doctor's note. These are things that can delay the hiring process, and yes they will verify everything.

Just don't run over any curbs during your road test and you will pass.

Thanks guys! I have to tell ya I decided not sign on with crst or any other paid company training. Im hearing too many horror stories! Plus crst only does teams and I have a feeling I wont like sharing a small space with another person. Plus even though they have the shortest contract anything could go wrong in 8 months and I dont want to owe them zip. I decided to go to a trucking school get the state w.I.s to pay for it, If I dont get approved well then trucking isnt for me, because after much research I think non company training is better as far as that contract mess goes and Schneider seems to be the best, they will want me to have 6mnths ex but thats cool I can work for one of these companys without contract then switch to schneider.

SNI takes recent grads. Depends on what you applied for.

Lightweight, I think you'll be MUCH happier going through private training than through a company. That was a good decision on your part.

    When you do graduate.

Remember that not all companies will fit with your needs and desires. But before you leave one for another give them a chance to prove themselves. Being a job hopper is not good for your resume and personal reputation.

Also freight has high and low times annually, as well as regionally. So just because you have a bad couple days or weeks, it may be a slow region or time span for freight.

Try Roehl in Wi or Schneider.
