JBH was a several week experiment on my part, what a experience it was for a brief time in a cabover. (A 83 international to boot...Ugh) they pay pretty good. What they tell you you will be making pretty close to that. However, when you take your home time? You are losing so much money it's not funny. Id just soon stay out months and months. It's not a problem. Harrisburg has the US Customs at the airport there if I remember right and a railyard not too far. JBH has about 200 railyards but it's not what I was when I ran for them. I was strictly van, OTR national and Canada whatever that was loaded for. I got out due to medical issues that were finally beginning to interfere first in the vision and at the same time other body systems. I was pretty sick at that time. (However I passed that DOT medical is a miracle.. they looked me over pretty good in there..)

When I was running, if the monthly income held out to that .48 a mile or whatever it was (I really didnt pay attention it was at that time the top of their scale, would have been two cents more in a conventional if I was not so stubborn and said yes for orientation. You would be looking at around 62K gross give or take a few thousand for the year.

However. If anything bad at all is two things. First the computer make work training in the ternimal. It's a hamster wheel.I rather benefit from sleep and food making ready for the next run. If you think my driving is bad, you can get out and walk home lol.
