they evidently had to tow out 40 trailers that were dropped. This is their explanation for charging for parking

That's welcoming news. The parking situation there has been out of control for years. Glad they finally have done something about it. One of the few truckstops that still offers a 24/7 diner with good food. Showers are good and cheap to.

The Sunoco TS east of Lansing had to do similar, tow out the dropped/abandoned trailers and start charging for parking.

    Feedman and ‘Olhand Thank this.

Is that the place just West of 131 on the South side of the street? Can't remember the exit, but seem to remember there was a hotel next to it?

    Feedman Thanks this.

That diner is not bad. I had to smothered chicken a little while ago, was pretty good.

Diner is great for sure…sucks that they are doing what they’re doing but understand it.

I hope they keep the parking free for if you fill up fuel over there. Do you know if that is the case?

    Feedman Thanks this.

Just spoke with the people here as I stopped in real quick…starting tomorrow. The parking will be $20 a day, if you fuel 75 gallons you get 24 hours of free parking or if you spend $50 inside you get free parking..also here’s the drop truck/trailer fees
