I take it you don't need any DEF?

Photocells in the awning over the pump set to trigger when the tractor goes in.

Last time I was there most of them were broken. The clock showed 30 minutes as I pulled into the lane.

I think the more important question is... WHY don't you want any DEF? Got something to hide? Maybe you visited Guido the tuner in Miami and your truck doesn't use DEF anymore? Do you know that every time you don't buy any DEF, God kills a kitten?

Think of all the baby seals you are metaphorically clubbing by not buying DEF.

I was at the J just west of Nashville one night.
A truck was parked at the pump a long time doing nothing
While I fueled in the next lane, he came out of the J and washed his windows
Then he went up by the ice machine and had a cig
I watched him walk back into the J
I followed him, he went right to Denny's and sat down to eat.
I went and got the manager

He went to Denny's? Geez driver, you had plenty of time to check and adjust all his tire pressures. He probably would have been ever so grateful.

A couple weeks back I was at the J in Waco. Everyone was screaming about a driver who wouldn't leave the pump
Was just sitting in his truck
Finally the manager came out and ordered him to move.
I watched him circle around and pull up to a different pump.
    I lmao!
There was a lot of parking available
I pointed and told the manager, "well, you told him to move and he did"

DEF is cheaper than milk so you can use it as creamer for your coffee and save a few bucks a week as well.

The ones crowded around the scale at night always remind me of baby birds going back to the nest.

If you do have a "customer" who stays in place much longer than required at the island, do you think a minimum wage 110 lb female fuel clerk is going to confront a 350 lb whale who hasn't showered or shaved in 3 days? Even a manager who is making maybe $40k a year isn't going to risk bodily injury or getting shot. More than likely the company is getting a significant discount, and it would be easy for any fuel vendor to add some sort of "service" fee for the offending truck. But like has been mentioned, the devices are not fool proof and no company is going to risk ticking off a large customer by adding charges to the bill that may not be warranted. It will take an investment in hired security personnel to deal with this and any other parking issues, and I am certain that is not in the cards.
In the old days we had jerks do the same thing, leave it at the island and go in and eat or shower. Didn't happen often but it happened.

Dave_in_AZ, Rusty Trawler and bzinger Thank this.

What about building some cardlock only locations? Card reader and fuel pump. Nothing more.
