    I'm a Schugel alumni. Worked there for a year and a half. Not a bad place to get your foot in the door. Good equipment, plenty of miles, always got home on time... you could do a lot worse. Get ready to haul a LOT of Kraft foods. Best of luck to you.

    I work for Schugel right now but I'm on the dry side. It's a good company to work for but like with every company we do have some real douchebags that drive for us. Though they are few and far in between. Good luck with orientation.

    • Receive 4 weeks of hands on training with a certified instructor
    • During your training period you will receive $400/week
    • Upon graduation to a solo driver, you receive:
      • $.34 cents per mile after testing out + incentives
      • $.35 cents per mile after 3 months + incentives
      • $.36 cents per mile after 6 months + incentives
      • $.37 cents per mile after 9 months + incentives
      • $.38 cents per mile after 12 months + incentives
    Those per mile rates include 11 cents per diem.

    The incentives include Safety, Retention and MPG ... its a couple cents per mile for each incentive.

    I had one of the lime green freightliners with the chrome front bumper. (It was that or a yellow T660)

    Lots of Kraft foods and lots of US Rt 30.

    I was out of Florida with them and they had lots of Freight down there with a few companies .Obviously orange juice and Coca Cola

    I remember going to Columbus for orientation and pretty much everything else , Dan is a cool guy with the same interests as me ,haha

    Since I am brand new I would go through Orientation in New Ulm they said. That is good to hear about the Florida freight .... assuming they would probably run me to Tropicana in Bradenton since its right across the Skyway from where I live.

    Did you deliver to the grocers down here too? Publix, Walmart, Winn-Dixie?

    You got it right!

    I delivered to the Publix dc in Lakeland, Walmart dc in Winter Haven, and the Winn Dixie up on I-10 far west side of Jacksonville ..

    Pickups included Coca Cola ,Tropicana,and Florida's Natural in Auburndale,Tampa,Brandon,Lake Wales,Umatilla,and Dunedin
