Gpf87 wfutch79 I do believe that the retention bonus is paid out overtime course of 2yrs kinda like a longevity bonus.

Hi, I'm Joe. How long have you been with Schugel? What parts of the country are you usually rolling through? Do you remember how much you were making a week once you tested out of your trainers truck?

Hey nice to meet you. I came to Schugel as a experienced driver so I can't answer that. I'm generally east of I-35 and you will see Wisconsin and Minnesota often. Right now over the last 3 months I've been averaging 900 take home a week and I'm home weekly

So my application has been approved and I will be getting my travel details next week. I will be attending the July 24th session .... not sure where just yet. She said that will be finalized tomorrow or early next week.

I am excited and worried all at the same time. Excited that things are starting to materialized and I am beginning a journey I have wanted to take for a long time. Worried that I am putting myself out there without knowing whether or not I will be employed when I am done, it is nerve racking but I guess it is the nature of the business. They want to know you are safe before they actually say "Congratulations & Welcome to the team!"

The 11 cpm per diem was a big turnoff for me. One of my requirements for the company I selected was no forced per diem. Not trying to lower my ssi or gross income when it comes for financing and such. Good luck. I'm sure you'll be driving wuite a bit through my neck of the woods. We may even pass each other from time to time. I'll be in one of the big black truck and trailers with the red lettering.
