I too don’t know anything about car hauling. Looks like another mismanaged union company to me. A lot like yellow, drivers did okay, most of the equipment was absolutely junk, at least appearance wise.

as for rates, in another thread someone said the trucks hauling corvettes were grossing 7 figures to the truck per year. Sounds pretty good to me. If that’s true.

Unless someone comes in a buys a lot of the Cooper equipment, there could be a shortage of vehicles delivered to the dealers. There aren't enough current O/O's to take up the slack.

    cdavis188 and REO6205 Thank this.

Wasn't there a thread here not long ago that the big three or at least Ford was considering shipping their own vehicles? I'm not sure about that but, regardless, you would think, Ford & GM would have their transport blueprint set up before they let Cooper go. I mean, they told the plants to stop loading Cooper on Thursday... they gotta have a plan in place... at least you'd think so, but its got a given in todays corporate world.

But as for new vehicle mfg's and the greedy auto unions & workers, as far as I am concerned, I dont care if they get any shipped out or not. It'd be alright with me if they had to sell them for $120 each like the old model A...
They did this all to themselves.

Only problem with that idea is that since the 80’s all destination charges on sticker prices are flat rate. Charges are the same no matter where it’s sold.
