    It's really a Cummins brake. Invented by Clessie Cummins after he was outed from his own company. The Cummins company wasn't interested in it so he sold it to the Jacobs company.

    Yep Clessie’s nephew Don married the daughter of Jacob’s vice president. Jacobs was bought out by the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company and was looking for a new product line. Rest is history.
