Is there a yard in York where local guys park their trucks? I'm thinking about taking a local job their and was wondering where to park at night and if they have a yard there. Any other York local guys have any insight on local runs out of York? What is it like? I've only drove otr and dedicated and can't take it any more being away and alone all the time. Also how much can you expect to bring home every week doing local out of York?
If you are taking a local JB Hunt job they will have you park the truck at the customer, most likely C&S Grocers or ES3, those are their two biggest customers in that area. Unless you take a regional run you will be in a day cab and slip seating so parking will not be an issue, the sleepers they will assign to you but still want them parked at the customer yard.

With the Home Depot account thru JB Hunt that I am familiar with the manager required you to park the truck at the distribution center for home time, and the couple of guys I know on the C&S account in Newburgh have to do the same so I imagine it will be the same in York. They have plenty of parking at both C&S and ES3, JB Hunt has their own parking lot for the bobtails and employee cars.
