    It’s a combination of problems:
    Increased traffic volumes
    Lack of investment in infrastructure
    Lack of emphasis on driving skills (quantity over quality)
    Lack of empathy overall,simply put,people don’t give a #### anymore,especially about those of us who drive a truck to make a living.

    OMG got to Houston this morning no accumulated snow or ice on roads grass anywhere but the bridges are a solid sheet of ice what the #### no reason for this not one salt truck in an hour and a half to get into the flying j ...and turns out my shipper and receiver are closed for the day oh well

    I've seen a salt truck on 40 near Amarillo one North of there on 287 and one on 54 just north (east) of Nara Visa....but it might have been NM DOT......pretty sure that's the only 2or3 Tx has.....

    Salt only does much good if you lay it down BEFORE the snow / freezing rain.

    The deep South doesn't see it coming. Ya get pretty well F'd in the A.
