I started pulling a reefer in December. I had pulled dry vans, dumps, and tanks in the past.

I was like yourself and a little concerned about reefers. I have had very little problems since I started pulling a reefer.

My advice is to find an experienced reefer driver that you can call if you need advice out on the road.

I was given a short training session on reefers when I started pulling reefers. How to change and set the temp. How to turn it on and off. Just the basics.

I made friends with an experienced co-worker and any-time I have a question or advise I give him a call.

I am sure JCT will give you some training during orentation.

There are some good people on this forum that are pulling for JCT. I bet they step-up and give you all the help you need.

They will have a short class on reefers. Mike Neal will answer your questions, as will breakdown when you are out on the road. They are not that difficult, ask any of the jct drivers you see in a truck stop

Most of the newer ones are pretty much idiot proof anyway and can fumble your way thru the menus to find what you want. Does make it nice tho if the company only uses one brand.

They wont quit hiring drivers. Will always be to many drivers to make it with JCT. They need more drivers to cover the loads for those that are always broke down and in the shop for a week at a time. Then when everyone is out of the shop there are way to many trucks running till they start breaking down again.

Sha, while everyone is welcome to post and we understand your situation with JCT, you are sounding like a broken record.
