Journalist stunned by 'daylight robbery' food prices at World Cup game

The $52 they spent for bad food at the soccer game sounds about right. Never been to one but go to lots of football games and Nascar events. It is what it is. Can't imagine somebody spending a few hundred or thousand going to an event crying over that. These are foreigners who came here for the games. Lol they got money to spend. Has the journalist never been to an event? It's stadium food not Michelin star restaurant. There are better options for food but hey it is what it is. You can tailgate or pack a lunch that's what we do. Some Nascar tracks even allow you to BYOB inside to the stands.

 

Yeh tend to think if you are allowed to bring your own food, its ok for vendors to rape patrons. Its when you are not allowed it leaves a bad taste.

 

You dont have to buy the ####. Can always stay home.

 

Reckon that is the outcome for a lot of people, especially with kids. To go to live sport any higher than local club level cost to much. Easier to have a subscription and stay at home watching the tele, or make an afternoon at a mates house.

 

What does he care? On the job, so put it on the expense account.
