Let's not turn this thread into an argument between drivers. For once, put aside your differences.
The lady deserves some respect and the posts should reflect that.

One reason Joy's story hit close to home for me is that I often have to negotiate dirt roads with questionable edges. At times, in order to execute a turn from one narrow dirt road to another, it's necessary to get into the ditch before button hooking the turn. Even then with a spread axle it's necessary to get one axle at a time over a culvert or even both axles while you gun and hope for the best.

A couple of months ago a friend of mine was hauling top heavy frack trees and ran into a situation just like that. He gunned after the tractor was straight on the new road, both trailer axles dropped and he tried gunning it through the mess. But the edge of that freshly graded road kept crumbling and he couldn't pull the trailer up onto the road. Those frack valves took the trailer over and the cab followed. All that was in low range.

Joy had 13 years experience on that road. Heavy fog when she went over. She might have wandered towards the edge, but often dirt roads start softening from heavy trucks beating them to death.

I'm signing up to donate to the Go Fund Me for her family. Their $7500 goal isn't enough IMHO.

I agree, but you should post the same comments to all truck driver deaths, and not allow the racist views to be floated freely

Keep your drivers on the hard pan. Walk your route before you drive it. Bar ditches, shoulders anything off the hard pan. GOAL.

I know nothing about her. But I sure wouldn't be near a shoulder with all that weight.

Are you ####ing retarded?!!! Foreign? Where did you get that from? Oh by the way my mom was born in Arizona, has lived in Alaska since 1992 and trained alot of the drivers up there.. ####ty road with terrible fog. Hope you don't find the same demise, nevermind, you probably don't have the balls to drive up here...troll...keep your driving to that pavement. Please think before you post next time...you don't always know all the true facts!

For those that haven't ran that road. I had a old trucker that put it well. " Your mom's got more balls than me".
