Put in the applications and talked to both terminal managers. DKS pays by the hour and does not offer overtime instead the pay $ per load depending on range of miles. High Sierra pay by the hour and pays overtime after 40. No $ per load. Both have insurance and paid vacation holidays and sick days. DKS works 5and2 Sunday thru Thursday or Tuesday thru Saturday. High Sierra has a 5/2 5/3 rotating schedule. Both seem to be a good fit for me. Hope to hear back from them soon!!!!

High Sierra is preferred if you have a long term plans. They are first party purchasers.

West Texas starts somewhere between $21 to $24. Plus 20% night differential.

With a 5/2 5/3 are you losing out on a day ? Can't figure that one out in terms of hours per week.

Yes. It sucks. One good check, one bad check. Ridiculous if you ask me.

Got a call from DKS needing me to sign a MVR release since I have an Alaska drivers license. Maybe if they are going this far I might be on the short list. Haven't heard back from High Sierra yet.

Unless it's different in TX, High Sierra is only paying $20 an hour in CO. Seems low for crude.

Subs for High Sierra make more than company drivers. I have contracted a lot for HS in NM. the drivers there are about 20 an hour and have to drive day cab. Yuck
