    I heard it was a 1500 dollar fine and 30 days in the bucket for failing to stop at a round red light, now square ones on the other hand.....

    Go to court and argue that you entered the intersection on a yellow light but it turned red too fast. Get a video of some light that turns red really fast--preferably the one you ran but not absolutely necessary. ;-) Never argue that the cop was wrong. That's a sure fire way to lose.

    Your required to report it too your employer ASAP. They won't care. Pay the ticket/fight the ticket but in the end you will be just fine.
