I wonder how big KAG will get before it all comes crumbling down on them?
Historically, when an outfit gets bigger and bigger at a rapid pace they wind up out of business one way or another.
I know a couple of KAG drivers that were with a company that KAG bought. They said the working conditions got worse...a lot worse...and the pay increases haven't kept pace with inflation.

It’s funny because superior just got bought last year by Olympus/heniff and we lost a dispatcher out of Pasadena who went back to action resources to dispatch.

I wonder what’s going through his mind right now, 2nd straight year he will be going through a buy out, wow!!!!

I heard a rumor that person may be trying to come back to Pasadena.

Seems like there's increasingly no safe place frankly. All of this consolidation is starting to remind me of when I was working in IT back in the early 00's and all of the big national banks started buying up the smaller regional and local banks and then merging w/ each other leaving us w/ the mega-banks we have now - Chase, Citibank, Bank of America. Personally I had one too many bad experiences w/ Citi and BoA years ago and ended putting all of our money into a local credit union and never looked back. Seems like that may be the way to go in trucking. Find a small to mid-sized regional / local company that's big enough to pay well and maintain descent equipment but small enough to stay under the radar. I suppose that's easier said than done though.

Yeah I seen that I’m surprised they sold out. They were big into the herbicide down here.

I've been wondering when Trimac would make a move to buy something but so far I haven't heard a peep. Maybe it has something to do with them being a Canadian outfit and the challenges they would face with an international merger are just too much.
