    1 killed, 1 injured in Kansas Turnpike crash

    Looking at the aftermath, it's difficult to fathom how the 2nd truck could have suffered the damage it sustained. The cab was completely wiped off of the frame.

    Traffic is being diverted at Mulvane, probably down US81.

    If the truck jack knifes, and the tractor keeps rotating under the trailer, the cab will detatch. Hopefully there is enough structure to the cab that it doesnt squish the driver.

    Article says the first truck had a drivetrain issue-axle SEIZED UP and the driveshaft BROKE!!!! Not a good way to go!!!

    Not that I'm an expert, far from it, but the truck that became disabled 'appeared' to have been neglected for a while. It looked like it could be a farm truck and not the highest on a list of priorities.

    I do alot of farm tractor repairs. The one thing that seems to be regular on all tractors is alot of differed maintenance. I shouldnt be surprised if the truck has the same issue.
