Wondering if anyone might know the average distance in inches between the bottom of the oil pan on a DD12V71 and the Front Axle?

A "Buzzin' Dozen", eh? I saw lots of K100s with 318s, but never a V12. They sound awesome, when they run, that is. Good luck.

I’d guess average would be about 6” but most trucks sat higher in the front back then due to stacked springs. Not sure if the 12V came standard with rear sump or front sump or offered both depending on chassis. That would make clearance differences on were it sat in frame also.

I'm guessing it was with a rear sump only. Back then most trucks were SFFA, especially those that had v12s in them.
