ok if you are at the near end of your 70 hours/8days but have a load and can deliver it on time but the next preplanned load you have can you take a 34 hour restart even if it will make that next load late if you take that 34 restart

also is it mandatory that you take a 34 hour restart

Ok, the restart isn't mandatory. It's a tool you can use.

If you take a load that you can't deliver on time because you're out of hours, dispatch and the customer will not be happy with you. Consequences depend on the company. If you let dispatch know your hours, they may be able to get a different delivery time or a different load.

Don't tick off dispatch with #### like that. Communication is the key.

IF your on day 8 and almost out of hours the next day you get some of your hours back, so you might beable to continue to move without doing the restart....you would have to figure out the hours you get back and the hours needed to do the load.
