It’s also an industry dominated by whites..should that change anything?
Sorry, we got no black trainers available.
Simply put, discrimination is discrimination.

There was no note signing or anything.lol
I don’t think Western Express was that desperate enough to go to the extremes.
But my wife already knew that I had a female trainer.broke down plumber, Concorde and bryan21384 Thank this. -
Just don’t hire women..
Central Transport LLC, a freight hauler based in Warren, Michigan, agreed to pay $5.5 million in May 2026 to resolve a federal lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The suit claimed the company spent nearly a decade refusing to hire or interview qualified female truck drivers nationwide, instead choosing less-qualified men. -
Yes......let's call EEOC right now..... let's blacken up the industry. I should asked my homies when i started training with Western Express back then to sign the documentation. Lol. In all seriousness, I don't disagree with the discrimination when it comes to the compensation. In the article, it seemed to talk more about the comfort level of male trainers and female students. Some were refusing to train females, I'm assuming to protect their marriage or themselves. Same with the females wanting to wait for a female trainer. Some people out here are sensitive man. It don't take much to get in trouble for sexual harassment/misconduct these days. The unfair compensation is probably what will get KLLM in hot water though.broke down plumber Thanks this.

I don't doubt that it's a good number of males training females. I've seen it the other way around periodically. I've definitely seen it a number of times. So when there is OTR training, I get having hotels in option....is it always realistic though? You and I know the rigors of trucking. Maybe for 34s I can see where the hotel makes sense. For 10 hr breaks, not so much. I can totally understand the apprehension of female students and male trainers if they refuse to integrate.broke down plumber Thanks this.

My thoughts exactly......they don't have these policies for no reason.Grumppy and broke down plumber Thank this.
