My girlfriend just got an un-paid wage settlement from a Knight Trans class action case filed several years ago.
She worked for Knight for almost 9 yrs before quiting in Jan 2017 to work for a local company.
Though she knew about the lawsuit, she never expected much from it. She was informed this summer that after years of litigation a settlement was reached & the amount if any would be hashed out by the end of the year.
Well today, 2 days after Christmas she received her cut of the settlement. What she thought would be a couple grand at most was 9x that after taxes. Thank you for a Merry Christmas, Knight Trans.
Knight class action payout, the wait is over.

Be sure to thank the hard-working plaintiff attorneys who spot these gross violations and pursue litigation on behalf of those who get screwed. In small amounts, the wage theft goes unnoticed. As a systematic company policy, the company steals hundreds of thousands of dollars over time. Congrats to that settlement and hope you do something with the cash you otherwise could never afford to do.

I received a $25.00 dollar check from some class action skimming thing from swift this year. I only was at swift for 4 months back in 2008. Your girlfriend will probably get around $800 if she was a company driver.

Well played to you sir, and your wife.
Make sure you pay it forward somehow. Keep that good luck/vibe/aura/whathaveyou an pass a little on to someone who may need it. The luck/vibe/aura/whathaveyou, not the cash. Well you can but...eh that's your business.
Not sure if you needed it or not, but it sounds like it came at a good time for you. Always a good thing. I won some sweepstakes earlier this year via a reloadable card I use. Won 5 grand. That money came at a good time. Was able to use for somethings me an the wife needed to do. An yes..I followed my own advice on the luck/karma/aura/etc etc . lol.
An there is my essay for the day.
Congrats on the win for you an the wife. Better then the 5 bucks I got from a I think bank of america settlement(many years back).

800, 90, 9k. Lol
I read 9 x 2 grand.EzekelRAGE, Odin's Rabid Dog and Alaska76 Thank this. -
This is too funny! The reading comprehension in this thread is amazing! The post clearly states he thought she was gonna get a couple grand = $2000. What she ended up getting was 9 times that. The x in 9x means multiply. $2000 x 9 = $18,000.
I wonder how much those attorneys made off this case?driverdriver, Aamcotrans, Alaska76 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Im glad knight had to pay up..they have stealing $$ from folks for years...claiming that it was just "honest" mistake...whatever..
