The title of this thread says it all;
That's a whopping fifty bucks a day that you are worth to Knight for your 'service' to them. And the days are long ones as well.
Let's see... a typical 10 hour day in orientation at fifty bucks a day comes to...
Five bucks an hour.
This substandard pay should be an indicator as to your actual worth as a future driver to them...
As in....not much.
Stay away and move on to another company.

So, how much do you think they should pay for a 3 day orientation?
LoneRanger, WildTiger1990 and SHOJim Thank this. -
I don't think that they should pay anything for orientation.
In fact, I think that they should charge the potential drivers for the privilege of attending.autopaint, EatYourVeggies, ASmallFleetDriver and 1 other person Thank this. -
1.3 million, a brand new w900l specced to order and a date with the Playboy Bunny of his choosing...
That about right fella?
Sheesh.autopaint, BigTennOTR, spyder7723 and 2 others Thank this. -

When I went through orientation at May Trucking 7 years ago, they paid me $50 a day, paid for my hotel room and fed me well. I didn't even think once about what they paid me for orientation, I was just glad to have a job!
OldeSkool, Sweet Jimmy, born&raisedintheusa and 3 others Thank this. -

They want airline pilot standards and minimum wage type pay, as do most of the megas. Lots of ways to get fired by Knight once you start rolling with them.

Knight is a ####ty company. Drove for them. Treat you like #### pay you like ####. Everything is your fault. Stay away. I drove for Transport America and Interstate out of Tacoma WA and they were fantastic companies.
