Behind Rear axle on trailer is a tiny air bag, been told it's maybe a parking brake chamber or some kinda shock absorber when trailer is being loaded. Anyways it's leaking, everytime I apply the service brake I lose air pressure pretty quick. Just wanted to learn what the hell it's purpose is. Don't have this trailer anymore dropped it at company yard and got me a shiny 2016 trailer.
No. It operates the sure lock device on your trailer. They prevent the trailer from "walking" when fork lifts enter and exit during loading. Take a close look at how everything is attached to it. Set your trailer brakes and have a look. Then release them and have another peek. You'll see.
Thanks for the info, Dropped that trailer at my company yard in Atlanta so they can replace the bag. TA didn't have it "of course" when I got it checked out by them. 1st I thought it was one of my brake chambers cause everytime I hit the brakes the air would drop quick.
