Kool transport

Patrick, you'll probably get a lot of replies to this. Not actually a spinoff of Knight, but sort of a contractor/partner. Kool was started a few months ago and is headed by Central Refrigerated's former CEO. I believe he teamed up with Knight for "buying power". That's just generally speaking. I'm sure there's folks on here willing to share specifics and details.

Kool Trans is a full truckload temperature-controlled transportation company created to be attractive to professional drivers while providing high quality consistent service to our customers. Kool Trans will be marketed and operated separately from our Knight Refrigerated business. Patrick, I can't tell you first-hand anything good or bad about either of these, but you may want to see what you can find out about Martin's Milk Service and Sue Vinje Trucking. Or, hoping Chinatown sees this and dials in. Better yet, send him a message.

Clyde07 mentioned Sue Vinje Trucking; beautiful equipment. I don't know their traffic lanes as far as coast-to-coast. Same with Pride Transport.

Don't know about the 70 mph trucks anywhere except Tyson Foods. Maybe some smaller outfit. Hard to find that anymore.

Try Jim Palmer Trucking; Wil-Trans bought them not too long ago, but don't know the speed policy. Call Wil-Trans and ask.

 

I work for a small reefer/dry Van. Trucks are set anywhere from 68-75 and all the miles you want I did 4k last week. Start pay is anywhere from .38-.45 depending on experience pm me for more info if you want. I have a thread in the favorite teucking company forum. A good log of my experience
