KW w900l headlight issue

Hi I'd appreciate any suggestions

2006 KW W900l headlights work fine for days even weeks at a time then it will have an episode ....go from high to low beam no problem 100% of the time.

However when it has an episode it will not return from low to high beam. Flicking the high low controller stick does nothing I just have to wait it out and high beam cones back on when it feels like it. This varies from 1 second to approx 30mins for it to come back on.
It might repeat this time and again or just work properly again there's no pattern to it.

I've changed the relays and from what I can see the wiring and connections look good.

The high low beam control stick is also the turn signal and is approx 1 year old so was reluctant to change that unnecessarily.

Anyone else had anything similar or have any recommendations?
