Storms in Iowa with flood warnings had me run the Madison, Milwaukee, Chicago route Wednesday, the 11th.
Lots,f places had 5 to over seven inches and counting before noon , with more on the way.
I 94 eastbound was down to 1 or 2 lanes just north of the Lake Forest Oasis, 3 mile backup at 0330, when I reached it 5 miles by the time I got through, and clear up hi way 50 in Wisconsin by mid morning.
US 41 was flooded in numerous places, and still closed in a couple as well as intersecting roads, the fire department in Mundelein was rescuing people with an inflatable boat.
Off the Edens, Lake/Cook is still flooded.
Be aware if you have to go anywhere in northern Chicagoland.
Lake County, IL 7/11, 7/12.

I'll continue to do a little digging as time goes by with this storm story. We will see how it unfolds.25(2)+2 Thanks this. -
We had 5, or around that over a wide area in northeast Iowa, in the past couple of weeks. Lots of flooding, just heard about some near Kokomo, IN, as well.

They managed to find a few hills in Iowa. A minor miracle of the times I think via the weather channel this morning.
In the meantime I'll soak the rain. Im a little afraid of what's fixing to come down the pike as far as the great dust bowl 2.0
