So, I don’t run for LS but I know a guy who does. Seems like he is constantly running into problems with Ukrainian agents/brokers who play games with rates and taking loads off the board and reposting them for much cheaper. Anybody else having this experience/problem?
I don’t know if he’s been blacklisted amongst agents because he’s “lost it” with them a few times and they’ve threatened to call corporate on him. Just curious for my own information because I haven’t heard of this happening to others LS guys. Just want to keep informed in case I ever make the jump over to LS.
Thanks

You might have better luck posting this in the Landstar section. They're pretty well known for having tons of double brokering scumbag agents.

Careful, there is a rabid landstar crew here. They are actually getting worse than the Prime Kool aid drinkers.

I had the exact thing happen a month ago. Friday Load that didn’t exist. The Agent promised $250 TONU. I had 3 Loads set up for the next week. I ended up losing $1000, deadheading to a Saturday load paying less that kept me on schedule. Broker said he was in the Ukraine. Talked real nice. Never answered any calls afterwards. Landstar can kiss my fifth wheel. I’m done with them.

I've had issues with some brokers. Here's a few tips.
1) when they call about a load. And the agent had to check anything with any one it's a double broker load. Just say ok I was just checking and exit.
2) if anyone would have gotten in terrible trouble for running of the mouth it would have been me. I've been told not to take a load for a week. Twice. And I'm on final notice and still have not been " black listed"
3) there is some strange going ons over here right now. Just gotta be choosey and wait. Land star has a way of sorting of the ignorant.
4) don't work with certain agents. I have a written list of six agents I won't work with. Under any circumstance.
5)some loads are 2/3 brokered. It's just part of what land star allows. We as bco's have to filter out the good ones from the bad ones.
6) unlike the agents bco's don't have to keep there numbers up. There are many loads on there that either just got booked or pick up in the middle of the hudson.
7) if you want to get paid a tonu, I have to fill out a l/s bol. And Wright TONU on it. And the pay will come about 4 weeks later.Blue jeans, ProfessionalNoticer, T.Rucker and 1 other person Thank this. -

It's funny, lately when I would call on a Landstar load, I would just ask"is this a double brokered load?", they answer "yes it is" Lol
I just thank them and move on.
I also noticed all the loads posted by Landstar Ranger agencies are doubled, but Landstar Inway are not. Unless it was just a coincidenceBlue jeans, Keepforgettingmypassword, T.Rucker and 4 others Thank this. -
