What I am asking about is going to be easily confused with what most companies call drop and hook. The difference that I see is that I do hook and drop, the exact opposite. I currently have my own authority and do 100% hook and drop, random loads, various trailer types. I work nearly 100% off DAT and Truckstop loadboards although I do have a few preferred brokers now.

I never leave with an empty trailer. I have the option to move everything from new dry vans to tool/jobsite trailers, to loaded flatbeds, to empty tankers to over size etc. Just about anything but the trailer is always provided, usually preloaded, may or may not be secured, totally hook it here, drop it over there and have a nice life, Thanks

Does Landstar offer anything like that?

It's called "power only". On the board today out of 143k loads all types (including duplicates) there are 107 power only loads. Only loads paying anything are multi stop concert.

    Flat Tires with no tread.
    Non working lights.
Expired plates and no safety inspection.
Bent landing gears that only work on one speed.
Who do you call at 2 am for road service.
    Got to love power only..

    Concorde Thanks this.

Thanks, wasn't sure what Landstar would call it or how much work they had. A lot of the big companies PO programs end up being the same as Landstar drop and hook.

    Thanks again
