If you really want to be blown away on driver pay, ask a ups parcel sleeper Team driver what his bid run pays. Then ask him how much he made working extra last year. Many of the team runs are back in 3.5-4 days. This allows many to pick up 2 extra days a week. First day is time and half, even on mileage jobs. The second extra day is double time. When your bid run pays $2500-$2,700 per driver and you pick up $600 on your first day off and $1000 on your second day, it adds up quickly.

It would take 30 seconds for you to pay a picture of the great 140 a year pay stub.

Ups is a very good paying job, but this average pay of over a hundred a year is nonsense. Do some that have 20 plus years in hit 100? Probably. But they are the minority, not the average. Ive worked right beside ups drivers and have had this conversation literally dozens of times, and none of them have made 100, let alone 140.

I left there 6 years ago and if my number one priority in life was money I would still be there. Although I make more now but we all know the risk associated with truck ownership vs being a highly paid employee. Some people can't be convinced the sun will shine tomorrow and I don't have the need to convince them.

You will note this was 2016. Best he could do on short notice. I'm out.

Awesome. Thank you. But is this driver average or the exception? How many years has he in? What part of the country? Etc etc.

Because the conversation is about average pay, not the top 1% that have been there since 1980.

This driver has been there 14 years. As I already told you UPS BELIEVES IN ALOT OF HOURS AND ALOT OF OVERTIME WHICH IS ONE OF THE REASONS I LEFT SUCH A GOOD PAYING JOB. It doesn’t make a difference because top pay occurs at 5 years. But I doubt you will believe this either.

    That's a freaking job there.
I would even smile into the driver facing camera
If they have them, for that money.
