Not sure if u mean us by "newby couple", but since we just came on maybe two weeks ago, i will answer.. Lol we are loving finding our own loads, making our own hrs pretty much to Work, getting all the miles we want at this time... Wish loads pd more per mile, some i just laugh at, lots Of pp2, Lynn on the IVR phone Line needs to clean out her ears, lol...that needs to allow u to push buttons cuz she doesnt understand me very well. We are heading to TX today, gotta get our plates, then Got a ld to south fl where we can pu plants next. Thinking about AA&E team in six mths hoping thsts where more $$. I called about refer lds, Landstar doesnt own refer trailers, so unless Customer has them, u have to buy one.

cool I am looking forward to choosing my own loads. A company can never understand your situation and possibilities like you can. I have plenty of time to plan and scheme while driving down the road.:biggrin_25515:

Anyone here on the EOBR? I have a drop on Saturday North of Dallas then I got a D/H south of Dallas on the same day. Is it okay to off duty drive when empty to head over to the next pickup? Trying to max out my hours as best as I can for ontime delivery.

That is considered under dispatch, not off duty personal conveyance. BTW, your EOBR will show different locations, no getting around that.

I don't know about Landstar, but most companies only allow you off duty driving/personal use while bob tailing not hooked to company equipment.

This is interesting though. I've had loads pickup in say Dallas, but have been 15mi apart. Since it is Dallas el log book shows nothing. What does an EOBR show? Or Atlanta. Multi stops in Atlanta? Sorry one 30 min unload and that is it. When they are shorting us miles with their household movers guide I don't feel the least bit guilty.

In theory of course. I don't suggest or endorse any illegal, unethical or questionable logging practices.
