I definitely love it compared to my last employer and enjoy lining myself out weeks in advance. The money is good but my truck is having some expensive repairs done to her on a continuing basis. Seems like once I get one problem repaired something else goes wrong. But I guess that is just the cost of doing business. After I get this exhaust leak in my manifold repaired hopefully that will be it for awhile. I would like to build up my maintenance fund to $10K this way I always got the cash if something goes wrong. O and also this CARB thing at the end of the year is going to be a big issue. I will keep ironing out the problems as they come though.

 

Dewey you can have a % of your pay put in a escrow account if you want, Landstar will do that for you. We have ours pulling 10% into it......remember money not seen is money not missed.

 

That's a really good point. I am trying really hard to have the self discipline to keep a well maintained maintenance fund.

 

You can start by sending me the 550.00...I can invest that for you...

Good question...I now we do not get #### for interest...But think about it...L/S gets 500.00 x 8000 drivers...Lot's of money to re-invest...L/S are very smart and slick...

All you need to do is call contractor service and they will load your card or put it on the next settlement

 

Has anyone noticed that the boards have been crap lately? It's like all the good loads are no longer there...
