Don't see how you can run on $1.09!
I net around $2 or more!

Bigman58 I think you miss read what I said. The $1.09 per all miles is profit before tax.

Hello I am about to work with Landstar but my biggest concern is I live in the Los Angeles / Fontana Ca. area. Does Landstar have plenty of freight going in and out of Southern California. I'm trying to run 5 out 2 home give or take. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

It will probably take you a little time to figure out the system. Anything is possible, but since you dispatch yourself, booking loads to fit your schedule is all on you. You may find it isn't as profitable to run that way compared to staying more, or even less.

Ok thanks, ya I was just using the 5 / 2 as a starting point and will hopefully figure out the best way to use Landstar to get as close as possible to 5 / 2. I was a realtor for 5 years so from what I've seen on here so far it helps to have good networking skills as well. I am just concerned with the freight Landstar has to offer. If there is plenty going in and out of Southern California or if it might be a struggle to get back home.

I don't go the PRC so I can't help you there, but there is plenty of opportunity here. When I've been in Seattle, I've seen a lot of freight heading south

    46Cadidaddy Thanks this.
