I have been looking at buying a truck. I have to stay 07 or newer. I don't really want a def motor. I have found some 07-10 with cats but not sure about them. Does anybody have any knowledge or information on them. Thanks

Ran an 07 to 906k before I quit. We were always over 80k too. Most of the time between 90 and 120k

07 is the only one I'd consider. In 08 they started with the DPF.

That explains why they 08 and up are cheaper. I had thought they quit selling cats in 07 but in the last few days I have found some up to 10 with a stick. Thanks

08 09 10 are the worst years of c15.
I know few guys that almost went broke owning these . Just terrible engines if left stock. -
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the DPF engines come out in the 2007 year? EPA goes by the engine year and most 2007 trucks I've come across have 2006 model year engines. Almost like the manufacturers knew no one would want to be the guinea pigs for that emission junk.

A 2007 model year truck is NOT CARB compliant. 2008 and newer with 2007 (and newer) ENGINES....are CARB compliant. 2007 trucks have 2006 engines.

Here is my 2008 sdp right now. 3rd time I've opened it in 2 years and it's always been due to some stupid crap. This time I am doing absolutely everything! All wiring, every sensor, cam, injectors etc etc.... also removing a bunch of junk as well, just extra weight!SAR Thanks this. -
