Yep, have looked at the local ads. I'd say at least 90% of them are only looking for team drivers now.

    BigHossVolvo Thanks this.

I also just found out, all of them except Penner, you’re only allowed to take 8 hours off. That ends it right there, I’m not playing that game again.

    Zeviander Thanks this.

I talked to Penner a couple of days ago. They aren't hiring anybody from BC.

My outfit is, and after this little fact finding venture, I’ve realized I will never have it this good anywhere else. Retirement job!

Who are you with? Cuz I'm only a few years away from that myself.

If you want to keep that info private, I think there's a way to do that on here, but I don't know how.

"Only allowed to take 8 hours off"

For solo drivers? How do they swing that on the elogs? Unless you take 2 hours of off-duty time during the day and spread out your work over that 16 hour window, you won't be able to put in just 8 hours for your nightly reset.

Phantom Trucker and BigHossVolvo Thank this.

This is what they did at Bison, 8hrs off consecutive, log 5 mins for unloading, 1-2 hour off duty for unload. With LCV, you logged 15 mins to build and 15 to break a set, the rest was off duty. Welcome to 16 hour days, with maybe 4-5 hours of sleep lol.

Sounds like what "North America's Safest Fleet" would "encourage" drivers to do.
