Hey all. I'm looking at purchasing a truck in the near future wondering what potential lease on opportunities are popular in the Northeast area. So far I'm planning to look into Schneider and JB Hunt. I have 1 year of local experience, not OTR so I may not qualify for all companies. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Are you planning on pulling just a dry van? Do you just want drop and hook or no touch freight.

Smaller companies, look to them not the megas. The megas will string you along for container money running the crappy NE

Anyone know how strict Landstar is on their application as far as the OTR requirement?

    Define strict.

I think if you have more than 40 csa points it's a no.

3 incidents in 3 years is no.

If you have 2, and get the third you're gone.

You must be able to get a hazmat endorsement. Don't have to pull it, but you are required to have one.

I tell everyone fill out the app and go from there. All they can say is no.

My license is clean. I have all my endorsements. I'm concerned about the otr verification. I have some regional experience but they may consider it local. I was wondering how they verify your driving experience.
