Lease operator for act(american central transport)

Bigkid, thanks for the info, I guess I misunderstood them when I started.I've always(except driving company) picked my own route's.So far at ACT everythings been pretty close except one load out of TN. Memphis going to KC they had 495 miles cutting thru the middle of AR and MO,was a paper load (Heavy).No way I went that way, went thru St Louis then across 70, miles ended up at 610.I just wont do that load again.

 

Sitting out side Louisville KY,drove 60mph from PA to here yesterday.Truck shows I'm getting 8.7,it is a light load for a change 16k.Only have 400 miles to go today for a 0700 del. in Memphis fri. morning.Going to check with dispatch to see if load can deliver early.Hope to get some decent miles for the weekend,so I'll have a good week.

These #'s are after all expense's and putting .07 per mile in my maint. acct.Am still contributing 75.00 per week to my escrow acct for insurance deductable for a total of 1000.00 that will be paid up on the 13th week.

 

Got to Memphis at 3 thur afternoon.Cant deliver load today,its a live unload 0700 can go in 1 hour early.Got a preplan for Chicago for sat morning and took it,1 hour later load got cacelled by shipper.Got another preplan just now from Jonesboro AR to Melrose Park IL (Chicago) for mon 0800 delivery.Was hoping to get some good miles this weekend but as has been the case lately,that aint happening.Will end up with 2500 so it could be alot worse.This is a brokered load so freight must be pretty crappy around Memphis right now.Got to the truck stop at 3 and barely found a place to park.Empty flatbeds sitting everywhere.

 

Hey ghettochild,Have you got started yet? And yes I've neglected my posting the last few days.Been getting loads that pickup 1300-1400 and delivering next day 0600 and 0700.So been to tired.Just got in to ST Joe,MO out of Indy for 0700 del.Got 1800 miles in so far this week and just accepted a preplan from KC to Lawton OK for sat delivery,about 500 miles total.Hoping to get a preplan for sat out of Lawton so I could have a good week,not like last week,where I only got 600 miles for fri,sat,and sun.Been really working on fuel mileage last 2 weeks.Also just looked at my pay for last week and the fuel mileage is helping alot.Almost getting used to driving 59 or 60 mph and getting passed by everybody even Prime LOL.
