From my experience leasing commercial trucks/equipment is harder than purchasing it. When I was buying my first truck I also looked into leasing and it wasn’t an option for me. Maybe a box truck would be a bit easier not sure.
Purchase requirements:
25-30% down
Solid credit
Proven industry experience and cdl driving experience.
Customer list that plan to use your services.
If you are a startup business it will be very very difficult and very high interest.
Lease requirements:
3-5 years in business
Brick and mortar office/shop no home office accepted.
$25k cash “certified funds” deposit -

Bad credit & leasing a used truck doesn't sound like a good blend. Even with good credit on a new truck there are things that are not covered by a warranty. Hopefully, you have a decent reserve fund in case anything goes wrong on the road? I'd suggest $25k to $40k for emergency expense fund in case pf problems.
