So I’m swapping from local hauling wood chips (a very simple haul with almost no DOT requirements,) to getting a dump truck and basically the only break I get is staying in 150 mile radius. At least I don’t need elog. Tell me what I’m missing for paperwork.
DOT & MC number
2290 road tax
Apportioned tags (running KY &TN)
KYU number
IFTA
UCR registration
Of course all insurance required
Anything else??
Legal requirements for O/O dump truck

1. You also need an agent to file a BOC 3.
2. You need to sign up for the Clearinghouse and portal.
3. You need a drug test company to satisfy the FMCSAs rules on testing drivers. -
90% of dump commodities are exempt so I doubt you will need authority, unless you are hauling waste/haz
