LIA EXPRESS INC out of Joliet Illinois , the full story

Lia Express incorporated is misnomer. It is several shell companies opening under one DOT license. It is owned by a group of Macedonian brothers whose family uses shell companies to make it difficult to hold anyone accountable. They have recently used Wolf Express Inc
Lifetime Transportation as fake companies to attempt to hire contractors and skirt their lengthy reputation. If you are here, you either have been screwed over by this company, or you found one of their 48 state by state listings for drivers on Indeed.com and you want to know what you're in for. I can give my experience which is likely a mirror to others on here. Trust me when I say this, WALK AWAY NOW.

The Lia Express Method
First you will be contacted by Aisha, one of 4 recruiters at their office in Lemont Illinois.
They will pose as a remote worker for the company out of Iowa or some other state as to the reason why some questions are vague or unanswerable.

They will lie about making $1500 a week.
Their two scheme right now are OTR and Amazon Relay.

First they will draw you in with OTR claiming they will send you on the road, you'll have the ability to make $1500 a week as long as you reach 3000 miles which is totally easy. The reality is that you may get up to 1500 miles a week totaling up to $750, and that if your dispatcher who doesn't speak English well or has a general disrespect toward you, you will sit as I did for 30 hours a week on duty, "waiting on a load". Of course when a load does come in, it's the drive 100 miles in less than 30 minutes and the crazy calling about "when will you get there?", "why are you late".

Now let's get into the Amazon scheme. Aisha will tell you that you will make $200 a day , which for dropping off pallets isnt terrible, but it's also a lie. Your paystub will show $100 dollars a day, you will be told that you misheard or misread the texts claiming that you would be paid $200 a day. So they may bait you will that, just know it's a lie.

But you were like me and after this amazing phone call with a possible future employer, you decide to pull the trigger, well prepare for the Aisha monkey in the middle. Where no matter how many documents you send, they want far more than any other job out there. They also try to talk to previous employers and get the dirty on you.

You won't know any of that as you're getting hired. And by the time you pass all for their checks and are ready to get on a Frontier flight to Chicago, you should be thinking about the next things that you will experience.

Your flight will be cramped if you are a bigger guy, and your arrival in chicago is the beginning start of your Lia Express experience. Aisha will coach you to lie to your Uber driver about your identity, and claim to be one of the Lia Express managers.

Your Red roof hotel that they swore would be paid out of their expense will demand a credit card and run it for $100 bucks in my case. No refunds on that deposit either. And Aisha will claim that they "didn't know about it" and that she is too far away to help, while you begrudgingly hand over your credit card, but the hotel manager will joke we tell these companies all the time deposits are required. .
This the first Lia Express Inc Method test. How much money that is liquid do you have? Because if they don't pay you or delay payment, you're less likely to get upset of you have the means to sustain yourself. (Foreshadowing)

But we keep moving in our experience. You'll arrive at the office in Lemont where as you'll meet the recruiters, the Macedonian family running the racket and your future monster boss.

Then they will bring you to a back room, shove a new contract demanding your signature that no one ever mentioned. It has some of the highest company you will ever observe. Again, no mention of any this prior, but as your signing the paperwork, they will joke that usually when a fine is assessed by the company a driver will leave the company and that they don't know why. It's because they add them on for anything at anytime, with no warning or recourse.

Now you've just made the biggest mistake signing over the man. Don't worry they have another surprise for you. A driving camera that records you in the cab 24/7.

They will claim it's only ever used in the case of a accident or claim and that no one is watching. So I used my laptop to get into the camera which has no security features at all and could observe that it was always watching, always listening, even when it displayed it wasn't on and that it could send back in cab video even when the owner didn't ask it too. It's a literal Flock camera with AI inside your sleeping berth.

Now comes the first day, they don't explain how their fuel car works, and better yet, your def tank is on the opposite side of the vehicle. But they also argue with you about why you need a DEF jug and then complain about it until you decide that you'd rather quit than argue for two days why you need def as the meter slowly drains. Only then the dispatchers Google translate will suddenly work and they will EFS money to fix the problem.


So here's the breezy part, once you get used to a dispatch and the brokers calling during your off duty, you can find the usual joy in driving a truck across america. Who cares the route are between 120 miles to 500 miles and that you may wait hours to days before another load is available. It's not like you joined Lia Express to make money. Oh you did or are thinking of doing so? Let's talk about that.

Every Monday you will be asked to submit your paperwork for the following week. Wednesday you'll get the infamous pay statement, which will claim you are being paid on Thursday , the very next day. Except that the pay never shows up and suddenly no one at the company knows why, but that they will fix it soon...

Now here's the Lia method, the pay statement will finally show that your loaded and unloaded miles they promised to pay at .50 per mile, was a lie. Amazon relay routes, $100 bucks, not the $200 a day Aisha promised you. The pay that was supposed to arrive on Thursday, never did. And the other guys who got hired with you, they are reporting the same thing. And you'll then wander to the internet to find the Truckers report, and realized, you've been had.

Exiting the Lia Expressway to Hell, the final scam.

Once you realize what's going on, you'll probably want to part with them and return their truck. That's when they know the jig is up. At first they will promise you a flight home to get you to bring the truck the back to yard, only for you to show up, drop off the truck and then for them to Uber you to airport, and never give you a ticket. Sorry friend, they aren't responsible to ensure you make it home alive.

I read about this happening to several other drivers and decided to park the truck at the location they felt safest after my last delivery and walked to the airport myself. They will call plead, threaten, and then demand. They will say, you must be a new trucker to antagonize. Ignore it. It's bait. After spending more money that I would've made with LIA EXPRESS INC, I had taught myself a valuable lesson for only $1500 dollars.

Maybe Amazon DSP isn't so bad.


Jokes aside, this is my experience in May of 2026. This company has years of engaging in this behavior. Part of why they get away with is the scary and vague language they use in contract they force you to sign in that backroom. Another part of it is the intentional vagueness of the company structure and who you are actually working for.

I was hired by Lifetime Trans , which does not exist. The paperwork I have from my work, shows LIA EXPRESS INC. and the payment was supposed to come from Wolf Express according that dubious pay statement they sent. Usual shell companies to avoid legal responsibilities isn't new in the industry, it's became the standard. But this company at every single turn is out to screw you over.

It's all intentional and it's not a mistake or a miscommunication. Do yourself a favor, read this, read other truckers experience with company, and save yourself the time, expense, and embarrassed of being ####ed by Lia Express Inc.
