A lot of new drivers don't understand why they can't get behind the wheel when they see all these young guys from a certain part of the world just show up and start driving with ease.

It's because of license and insurance fraud, they get someone to write them a bogus letter of insurance experience.

In return they wait months to get paid, usually less than was agreed, and they willing violate NSC and HOS regs.

Canada is a corrupt place, the government only pays lip service to the issue because it provides the rich with cheap trucking.

They say Canadians don't want the jobs, a bold faced lie!

Meanwhile the citizens have to tolerate an obscene amount of catastrophic truck accidents caused by people that can't even drive a car in the snow, let alone a truck. These drivers also have a strange need to operate like maniacs with no regard for safety, tailgating, passing and forcing on coming cars off the road.

Welcome to trucking, the only place in the world people don't want to rat on their fellow drivers but will cry about the conditions they work in that are caused by their fellow drivers.

Yeah... because there has never been a case of fraudulent drivers schools in the states, or doctors falsifying medical exams for CDL's. get a grip. It happens everywhere.

Didn't they bust a couple driving schools in Vancouver a couple years ago for license fraud?

Find something in the last decade ..anyone who runs the roads coast to coast knows the score on the quality of drivers we have and can take a educated guess where many were born

Explains how these fools made it onto the road. I can't find the article (think I read about it in Pro-Trucker) but wasn't there a couple hundred people who obtained their license fraudulently in that scam?

I know what you're saying and agree to an extent. Although some of the most insane driving I've seen has been by middle aged white guys the so called 'new Canadians' do have a tendency to ride the center line and follow too close.

The OP suggests a wide spread practice of Government officials turning a blind eye to fraud to make rich donors happy, not buying it.
