License and insurance fraud in Canada

    Well it doesn't help that standards are pretty lax. At least in Alberta anyways. When I got my license there was no requirement for training. I could have walked into registries, passed the written test and immediately done the pretrip and roadtest afterwards if I had someone leave a truck there for me.

    That's how I got my license back in 1993. Only required course to take was for air brakes. Plus I took a load from Edmonton to Red Deer and drove myself to the examiners office.

    Funny how everyone on those shows who are getting towed have a name you can't pronounce....
