I’m trying to get my first trucking job. Most jobs ask about driving record 3 years back. But they have question asking if license has ever been suspended. My drivers license was suspended 5 years ago for failure to show proof of insurance and pay fines. Should I list this since it’s 5 years old? How badly will this hurt me getting a job?
License suspended 5 years ago

Won’t hurt. Moving violations hurt. I had my license suspended. It was one of those deals where your travel agent asks you to run a load and they will pay all fines. They “forgot” to pay. My license was suspended for failure to pay the overweight ticket
Bean Jr., silverspur, Another Canadian driver and 2 others Thank this. -
Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Trucking companies don't hold it against drivers if the license was suspended for failure to pay insurance or failure to pay child support.

How fast was the speeding ticket. 15+ over is reckless driving and very serious to trucking companies.

Some will let it slide since it's that old and some won't. 15+ over is reckless driving.
Usually it's on the website & here's an example:
- No reckless driving violations in the last 5 years
