image.jpg Stopped at the Pilot on US-75 in Denison, Texas. Tried out the Texas Best BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich with fries and a side of peach cobbler. It was excellent. You know the BBQ will be good if you can smell BBQ over the smell of diesel and DEF in the fuel lane!!lol

The Pilot also has a Fuzzy’s Taco Shop in the same building, that’s worth a look as well!
Definitely different from the usual Subway/Wendy’s fare at most Pilots!

Holy XXXX! Who would ever believe a Pilot with food choices like that. I'm impressed and Pilot should take note that this is very acceptable for food choices over Subway and all the other fast food options that they offer. I hope that it catches on and expands.

I’d guess it’s just a Pilot for the truck fuel and not a Pilot truck stop, similar to the Town Pump truckstops in Montana.

That's crazy pricing unless it's for a full rack of ribs and some brisket!

Hell, even a theme park I visit on occasion doesn't charge that much!

    Craziness.

Altogether I paid like $22 bucks(I’ll have to look for the receipt). Now mind you, that was before I bought the peach cobbler (and that was a small, which in all actuality, you don’t need a large, the small is very filling in itself).
Either way IMHO,it was worth every penny!

That’s a nice truck stop, and also has a heck of a convenience store section.

There’s another truck stop with that same BBQ restaurant east of Wichita Falls on 287, and then there’s one across from the Love’s in Italy, TX, if anyone wants to try it and doesn’t find themselves on 75.

It’s pricey, but 20 on some BBQ beats 15 on a McDonald’s meal

There are also locations like that on I-45 just south of Waxahatchie, I-30 just west of Texarkana, and two on I-20 at Tyler and Longview. Usually great food (I did have an overly salty smoked turkey sandwich once at the one up on US 287).
