Is there any language in the newer rule changes related to viscosity or temperature maintained or state or nature of the product?

Not that I see. A tank loaded with molasses is still a loaded tanker. Even if it's closer to a brick.

I've picked up the totes at 2 different places in Houson TX and both checked for the endorsement

We haul totes out of a chemical place in Pueblo, Co., sulfuric acid. They have never asked to see our licenses, but my bosses have now changed things around. Turns out, while 5 of us have HAZMAT, only 4 have tanker endorsement. The company is now in the process of getting full endorsements on all of us.

There is a specific rule that covers totes, dont remember the number, but there are threads on this already

I think the question was what if the totes are filled with solids instead of liquids.

I recall taking a load and finding out it had totes with liquid just by the way the equipment handled. At a stop sign/light the unit would lurch back and forth a little even though we were stopped.

I got pulled into the northbound scale at Ft Collins with a load of totes on about two months ago, he only wanted to see I had a tanker endorsement.
