has anyone put out a list of how many chains and what size of each that they have on the truck?

Also if they have tarps what size and etc I think it would be a good place to start for everyone of us that is buying equipment .

I will be hauling equipment dozers, farm equipment and etc to start with so if there is a separate list for each specialization that may be good as well.

Maybe a list of permit services as well that everyone uses I know a lot of you probably do it yourself just trying to absorb as much information as possible.

I have 1/2" chains. Lengths from 4 foot to 10 foot. Ratcheting boomers. Have a couple of 3/8 20 footers. All grade 70. I haul big yellow things. Dozers up to d8. Scrapers, loaders, compactors and excavators. I have had grade 43 hooks break in half more than once.after second one broke, everything went to 70.

    Wow that’s about 3000 pounds of chains. 10 20 foot 1/2” chains? I’ve never needed a 20’ 1/2” chain.

They are a pain in the butt. I haul things like mill rolls, slag pots and other crap. The have little to no tie down points. One has to get creative. 20190609_075625.jpg

IMG_20140903_093248717.jpg A pick up stopped to turn in front of me. I was doing 55mph. He had no turn signals or brake lights. Snapped the 2 inch hook. Thank god i had this chained down with 2 on the front of the cab, 2 crossed on the back. 2 crossed on the can and 2 on the rear. Never under estimate. Error on the side of caution.
