Its great if you have a sweetheart deal with a dealer i hope it last many years. We have had our share but as faces change and door knockers undercut your rates what was your bread and butter becomes a weekly snack
Last summer my regular backhaul said someone would move his cars $50-75 per unit less , so its either match or sit for 2 or three days every trip to scrape up a load on central that would pay even less with two or three drops. That alone 2 lost days equals a 30% revenue loss i already took my 30% cut last year.Last edited: Jan 22, 2020

2 Friday's ago I took a $1,700 load 1,100 miles because it was Fri 3pm and I'd likely be sitting the weekend if I didn't take it. Turned out the broker got paid $2,6k.. Yeah it sucks a bit but what do you do... win some, get by with others.. -
