I'm based out of the midwest and have never ran a load into New York City. From what I heard it can be a nightmare. One of my customers wants me to take a load into Long Island next week. Can anyone tell me what the going rates are for something like this?
Also, what should I expect for toll fees etc..

we charge well over 4$ per mile to go down to NYC .
tolls alone might cost you up to 220 $ -
check out on google Truck Routes for NYC Dot . there is a map for trucks.
in general NYC is fine if you go in and out overnight, Long Island is a peace of cake , no worry about low bridges on major highways, -

Thanks for the reply. I figured it had to be $4.50-6.00.
So going into Long Island can you avoid NYC all together? -
You will hit the boroughs. But you can avoid ManhattanAnj Thanks this. -
Correct me if I'm wrong but I recall someone telling me that NYC the 5 Borough's Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, and SI all had time restrictions? Especially Manhattan, something in the effect of certain times during the week, commercial vehicles over a certain length weren't allowed in the cities, I think he said due to rush hour and other factors? Like I said for some reason I recall hearing this. Anyone know of these restrictions?

That must be somewhat true because these loads can't be delivered until
7pm.. -
7pm isn't in the legal area of delivery in the 5 boroughs. Technically it's midnite to 6 am, and has to do with oal.
It's not relevant if you stay on the highway and are bouncing out to the island. -
Ryan S2016 Thanks this.
