Ok, I would like some info on COMMERCIAL food delivery companies. I have NOT been in this side of the industry before, but am looking for something local (disabled wife) that pays well ($90,000+). I'm having trouble finding anything LOCAL that pays much over starter wages, The DOWNSIDE of trucking is, there's no benefit for experience. MOST companies pay the same whether you have 6 months experience or 10 years experience! :(:(
ANYHOW, I am of the understanding that food service pays well and is local???
Any recommendations? Advice? How to do your best at these companies? Companies to stay away from?
What are the best companies for someone who WANTS to work???
I LIVE in the Huntsville/Decatur/ Florence/ Muscle Shoals, Alabama corridor (area)

Thank you for any comments/ Advice!!!!

Air Products advertises the bottom end but usually you can make more than the 90k advertised. I say around 110k.

You’re local and work 5 days a week followed by two days off. Days off and scheduled start time go by seniority.

Company is big on safety so no Bluetooth headsets or touching your phone while driving.

Those are the basics. If you need more info let me know. It’s a very clean and easy job!

I was with sysco for a whopping 4 months. Between the over loaded trailers, 21-28 stops a day, and the terrible equipment, I wouldnt go there again. Final straw for me was having to fully break down three, 8-foot tall pallets for a SINGLE STOP just to get a few items at the bottom of the pallet. Also, im in decent shape, i was running everywhere, and still would get behind because of the way they loaded those trailers....if you enjoy being set up to fail day after day, go for it.
    Lav-25 and road_runner Thank this.
