I have a question right now I work 4 days a week 10 hour days not in a sleeper truck in a day cab. I found a part time job that dosnt include driving. Also pays under the table. Should I still put it in my eld logs? It’s about a extra 15 hrs a week

Can you explain your answer? If he is not driving, why would he have to log his hours and it would be a different company, again, NOT DRIVING …….

    michaelj123xx Thanks this.

That’s what I don’t understand because my job called me in for overt time my driving job. I said I got another job but it’s not driving and told him I can’t come in but he said don’t tell anyone or they will count it on duty. Didn’t make any sense to me. Overtime with my company is on call for the 5th day but it’s a 4 day work week.

Legally he has to log any work he is compensated for as on duty not driving, if he is working but not driving. He stated it is under the table so I really dont see why he should log it? I am definitely not condoning running outlaw, but hammer down Driver.
In all seriousness in today’s electronic world we live in I suggest he log it because if he has a serious accident at his real driving job some ambulance chasing attorney will be up his but with a fine tooth comb.

Supposed to report hours as worked. Supposed to pay taxes. Supposed to spend 8 of 10 hours in sleeper. Supposed to do a lot of things.

He said Part Time and he’s only working 40 hours a week. So he has hours to spare.
